We offer Road-trip Inspections that can save you money and time:

Going somewhere? A pre-road trip auto inspection can save you from excessive gas usage, poor visibility and even costly breakdowns.

Check and/or replace wipers. Wiper blades that smear, streak or chatter are going to limit driver visibility in inclement weather. Prepare for the worst and check to make sure your wipers have been changed within the last 6 months and are still in excellent working condition.

Vehicle lights. Properly functioning headlights, tail lights and turn signals are key to keeping you, your family and other drivers safe on the road. Working interior lights are also important, especially for drivers embarking on long trips. Check to make sure all your vehicle’s lights are working.

Check fluids. Before leaving, it’s important that you check: antifreeze, engine oil, power steering, brake, transmission, radiator and windshield washer fluids. These should all be easily accessible beneath your vehicle’s hood. If you have problems locating these fluids or aren’t sure how to refill them, make a quick pit stop at your auto repair shop.

Check hoses and belts. Broken belts can affect your vehicle’s electrical system, air conditioning, power steering and engine cooling, so it’s important that they be in good condition before leaving on a trip. If you’re unfamiliar with your vehicle’s key belts, have an auto technician look them over.

Ideally, motorists should plan ahead and have a thorough inspection performed by an auto service shop weeks before the planned trip, to leave time for any part replacement which might be necessary. Not only will pre-roadtrip inspections reduce the likelihood of costly, inconvenient breakdowns and safety issues, but they also allow auto owners to have repairs done by a trusted auto technician who is already familiar with the vehicle.

While there’s no way to provide a 100% guarantee against car trouble, taking these precautions will greatly lower your risk of breakdowns, giving you better peace of mind throughout your trip
